Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 209 recoveries and 55 new COVID-19 cases in Washoe County. The number of recoveries eclipsed 6,000 and the increase reported today is related to a routine audit of the data.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 7,259 (+55 from 8/30)
  • Deaths: 139 (+0)
  • Recovered: 6,095 (+209)
  • Active cases: 1,025 (-154)
  • Currently hospitalized: 87 (+5)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 527 (+6)

COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County

  • Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of August 31: 110,507 (+328 since 8/30)

Hospital bed and ventilator information

According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of August 31:

  • 64 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (-1% since 8/28)
  • 45 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+0%)
  • 19 percent of all ventilators are in use (+3%)

Residents can file a complaint about a business in Washoe County that is not practicing COVID-19 mitigation measures, such as mandatory use of face coverings, social distancing between staff/customers or other activities leading to a higher risk of COVID-19 transmission. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County: A female in her 90s with underlying health conditions and a male in his 60s with underlying health conditions.

There were 51 recoveries and 30 additional cases of COVID-19 reported in Washoe County.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 7,204 (+30 from 8/29)
  • Deaths: 139 (+2)
  • Recovered: 5,886 (+51)
  • Active cases: 1,179 (-23)
  • Currently hospitalized: 82 (+1)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 521 (+2)

Due to scheduled maintenance, the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Form is down through Monday, Aug. 31 at 5 a.m.

Residents can still sign up for a test throughout the weekend or call 775-328-2427. The Spanish Regional COVID-19 Risk Assessment Form will not be affected by the scheduled maintenance and can be found here.

The deceased is a female in her 80s with an underlying health condition.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 7,174 (+72 from 8/28)
  • Deaths: 137 (+1)
  • Recovered: 5,835 (+46)
  • Active cases: 1,202 (+25)
  • Currently hospitalized: 81 (-5)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 519 (+6)
