Se reportan tres muertes adicionales relacionadas con COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe

Reno/Sparks, NV – El Centro Regional de Información reportan tres muertes adicionales relacionadas con COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe:

  • Hombre en sus 80s; la existencia de afecciones subyacentes está bajo investigación
  • Hombre es sus 50s; la existencia de afecciones subyacentes está bajo investigación
  • Hombre es sus 70s sin afecciones subyacentes

Hay 136 muertes relacionadas con COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe.  Adicionalmente, hubo 73 casos nuevos de COVID-19 con 45 recuperaciones. El número total de casos sobrepaso los 7,000.

  • Total, de casos de COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe: 7,024 (+73 desde 8/26)
  • Muertes: 136 (+3)
  • Recuperados: 5,729 (+45)
  • Casos activos: 1,159 (+25)
  • Actualmente hospitalizados: 89 (-3)
  • Casos dados de alta del hospital: 505 (+5)

  • Total, en pruebas de COVID-19 realizadas en el Condado de Washoe desde el 27 de agosto: 107,725 (+441 desde 8/26)

Nota: Estas cifras han sido proporcionados por el Estado de Nevada y se pueden encontrar en Boletín Estatal.  Las pruebas de COVID-19 podrían incluir residentes que no residen en el Condado de Washoe, pero se les ha realizado una prueba en dicho Condado. 

Información sobre camas de hospital y ventiladores

Según la Asociación de Hospitales de Nevada, en el Condado de Washoe desde el 27 de agosto:

  • 67 porciento de las camas de hospital a corto plazo para cuidados agudos están en uso (+3% desde 8/26)
  • 43 porciento de las camas de la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos están en uso (+3%)
  • 15 porciento de los ventiladores están en uso (-2%)

NOTA: Estas cifras reflejan todos los pacientes hospitalizados del Condado de Washoe no se limita a pacientes de COVID-19.

Reno/Sparks, NV – El Centro Regional de Información notifica a los residentes que el formulario para Asesorar el Riesgo de COVID-19 no estará funcionado comenzando el Viernes, 28 de Agosto a las 3 p.p. Hasta el Lunes, 31 de Agosto a las 5 a.m. debido al mantenimiento programado con el vendedor de la plataforma.

Residentes quienes quieren hacerse la prueba de COVID-19 son urgidos a registrarse por medio del asesor de riesgo antes de las 3 p.m. el Viernes; sin embargo, los residentes aún pueden registrarse para hacerse la prueba llamando al 775-328-2427 o llenando un formulario temporario para asesorar el riesgo de COVID-19 durante el fin de semana. El formulario temporario para asesorar el riesgo puede ser encontrado aquí.

El formulario regional de evaluación de riesgo para COVID-19 no será afectado por el mantenimiento programado y se puede encontrar aquí.

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting three additional COVID-19 related deaths in Washoe County:

  • Male in his 80s; it is under investigation if there were underlying health conditions
  • Male in his 50s; it is under investigation if there were underlying health conditions
  • Male in his 70s with no underlying health conditions

There are 136 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County. Additionally, there were 73 new COVID-19 cases reported with 45 recoveries. The total number of COVID-19 cases eclipsed 7,000.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 7,024 (+73 from 8/26)

  • 67 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+3% since 8/26)
  • 43 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+3%)
  • 15 percent of all ventilators are in use (-2%)

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is notifying residents that the regional COVID-19 Risk Assessment Form will be down starting Friday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 31 at 5 a.m. due to scheduled maintenance with the vendor platform.

Residents who want to be tested for COVID-19 are urged to sign up by taking the risk assessment before 3 p.m. on Friday; however, residents can still sign up to get tested by calling 775-328-2427 or filling out a temporary risk assessment form throughout the weekend. The temporary risk assessment form can be found here.

The Spanish Regional COVID-19 Risk Assessment Form will not be affected by the scheduled maintenance and can be found here.

The system-wide scheduled maintenance to the Accela platform will also impact all regional licensing and permitting. Get more information here.

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 84 recoveries and 47 new cases of COVID-19 in Washoe County.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 6,951 (+47 from 8/25)
  • Deaths: 133 (+0)
  • Recovered: 5,684 (+84)
  • Active cases: 1,134 (-37)
  • Currently hospitalized: 92 (+5)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 500 (+2)

  • Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of August 26: 107,284 (+843 since 8/25)

  • 40 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+7%)
  • 17 percent of all ventilators are in use (+2%)

NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.  Health District supports widespread COVID-19 testing in the community

The Washoe County Health District supports conducting COVID-19 testing for close contacts to confirmed COVID-19 cases. Testing in Washoe County is available by going here.

People who are in 6-feet of a positive COVID-19 case for more than 15 minutes are recommended to receive a COVID-19 test. If you are tested for COVID-19, you must self isolate until the results come back.

Download the COVID Trace app

The Washoe County Health District strongly recommends residents download the new COVID Trace app to help Nevadans protect each other and slow the spread of COVID-19.The app, which does not use your GPS and can’t share your location or any information, notifies you if you’ve likely been exposed to COVID-19. This will allow you to quarantine effectively, seek timely medical attention, and reduce risk for your loved ones.

Due to scheduled maintenance, the COVID-19 Risk Assessment Form will be down starting Friday, Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. through Monday, Aug. 31 at 5 a.m. Those wanting to get a COVID-19 test are asked to schedule it before 3 p.m. on Friday.

Residents can still sign up for a test throughout the weekend, but it is advised that they sign up immediately before or after the scheduled downtime.
