Reno/Sparks, NV – El Centro Regional de Información reporta dos muertes relacionadas con COVID-19 en el condado de Washoe: un varón de unos 80 años con condiciones de salud subyacentes y una mujer de sus 80 años con condiciones de salud subyacentes.

Además, estamos reportando 126 nuevos casos de COVID-19 en el condado de Washoe con 111 recuperaciones.

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting two COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County: A male in his 80s with underlying health conditions and a female in her 80s with underlying health conditions.

Additionally, we’re reporting 126 new COVID-19 cases in Washoe County with 111 recoveries.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 12,608 (+126 from 10/25)
  • Deaths: 195 (+2)
  • Recovered: 10,528 (+111)
  • Active cases: 1,885 (+13)
  • Currently hospitalized: 90 (-1)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 821 (+4)

  • Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of October 26: 174,575 (+1,578 since 10/25)

Hospital bed and ventilator information

According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of October 26:

  • *79 percent staffed hospital beds are occupied
  • 66 percent of all licensed hospital beds are occupied (-3% since 10/23)
  • 48 percent of all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (-11%)
  • 20 percent of all ventilators are in use (+3%)

*The Nevada Hospital Association recently re-added staffed hospital beds to its reporting in addition to licensed beds. The Regional Information Center report had listed staffed beds as licensed beds incorrectly but it has been fixed.

  • Active cases: 1,872 (+14)
  • Currently hospitalized: 91 (+1)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 817 (-1)

3 COVID-19-related deaths, 98 new cases, 77 recoveries reported in Washoe County

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting three additional COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County: Two females in their 90s and a male in his 90s; all had an underlying health condition. There are 193 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County.

Additionally, there were 98 new COVID-19 cases and 77 recoveries reported. The active case count continues to rise with 18 additional cases and a record 1,858 overall. Patients who are currently hospitalized rose by 11 with 90 overall.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 12,402 (+98 from 10/23)
  • Deaths: 193 (+3)
  • Recovered: 10,351 (+77)
  • Active cases: 1,858 (+18)

1 COVID-19 death, record 350 new COVID-19 cases reported

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting an additional COVID-19 related death in Washoe County: a male in his 60s with underlying health conditions. Total cumulative COVID-19 cases crossed 12,000 in Washoe County with 350 new cases and 73 additional recoveries. This is the largest single day increase in total and active COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began.

The Health District is urging extreme caution when out and about due to the high number of new cases and level of disease transmission that is currently occurring in the community.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 12,304 (+350 from 10/22)
  • Deaths: 190 (+1)
  • Recovered: 10,274 (+73)
  • Active cases: 1,840 (+276)
  • Currently hospitalized: 79 (-2)
