Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting three COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County:

  • Male in his 70s and it is under investigation if he had underlying health conditions
  • Male in his 40s and it is under investigation if he had underlying health conditions
  • Male in his 90s with an underlying health condition

There are 124 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County.

Additionally, there were 78 COVID-19 recoveries reported and 55 new COVID-19 cases.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 5,962 (+55 from 8/11)
  • Deaths: 124 (+3)
  • Recovered: 4,782 (+78)
  • Active cases: 1,056 (-26)
  • Currently hospitalized: 79 (-8)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 447 (+16)

According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of Aug. 12:

  • 63 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+2% since 8/11)
  • 43 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+6%)
  • 13 percent of all ventilators are in use (+3%)

Additionally, there were 90 COVID-19 recoveries and 72 new cases reported.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 5,907 (+72 from 8/10)
  • Deaths: 121 (+1)
  • Recovered: 4,704 (+90)
  • Active cases: 1,082 (-19)
  • Currently hospitalized: 87 (+1)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 431 (+1)

Additionally, there were 65 recoveries reported and 36 new cases of COVID-19.

  • Deaths: 120 (+2)
  • Recovered: 4,548 (+65)

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County: A female in her 40s with no underlying health conditions and a male in his 70s with underlying health conditions. There are 118 deaths in Washoe County that are determined by a physician or medical examiner to be COVID-19-related as the main cause of death, underlying cause of death or contributing cause of death.

Additionally, there were 123 new cases and 80 recoveries of COVID-19 in Washoe County.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 5,627 (+123 from 8/5)
  • Deaths: 118 (+2)
  • Recovered: 4,348 (+80)
  • Active cases: 1,161 (+41)
