Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Team is reporting an additional COVID-19-related death in Washoe County – a male in his 50s with underlying health conditions.

The total COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County is 28.

There were 16 additional positive COVID-19 cases and 13 recoveries.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 820 (+16 from 4/26)
  • Deaths: 28 (+1)
  • Recoveries: 278 (+13)
  • Active cases: 514 (+2)
  • Currently hospitalized: 38 (-2)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 62 (+3)

Hospital bed and ventilator information
In Washoe County as of April 25, 2020:

  • 57 percent of short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (-2% since April 24)
  • 51 percent of the Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+1%)
  • 22 percent of ventilators are in use (+1%)

Total number of COVID-19 tests in Washoe County: 9,472 (+1,013 from April 23)
As of April 27, 2020, a total of 9,472 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Washoe County. The tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
