May 17- 23, 2020 is EMS WEEK

In 1974, President Gerald Ford established EMS Week to celebrate emergency medical service practitioners and the important work they do in our nation’s communities. We are excited to recognize and honor the hard work and dedication of the women and men who provide emergency medical services across northern Nevada. EMS practitioners play a significant role in safeguarding the health, safety and wellbeing of their communities. EMS Week is an opportunity to honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s front line – particularly during challenging times like this. Join us this week to thank our community’s EMS personnel at the City of Sparks, the City of Reno, REMSA and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District
