Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 75 recoveries and 45 new COVID-19 cases in Washoe County.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 7,872 (+45 from 9/9)
- Deaths: 147 (+0)
- Recovered: 6,609 (+75)
- Active cases: 1,116 (-30)
- Currently hospitalized: 40 (+0)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 606 (+2)
COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of September 10: 119,436 (+1,074 since 9/9)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of September 10:
- 64 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+3% since 9/9)
- 41 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+1%)
- 18 percent of all ventilators are in use (-2%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
Washoe County Bar Owners urged to Join Local COVID-19 Coalition
The Regional Information Center is urging bar, tavern, pub, brewery and winery owners in Washoe County to join a local COVID-19 coalition that is working with local jurisdictions to come up with plans to reopen bars safely with COVID-19 mitigation measures. Read more here.
The Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force today allowed for bars to reopen under increased enforcement and COVID-19 mitigation measures.
