12th COVID-19 death reported in Washoe County

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting one additional COVID-19-related death in Washoe County.
The deceased was a male in his 90s and an investigation is underway to determine if there were underlying conditions. This is the 12th death in Washoe County from COVID-19.
In addition, 46 positive cases and two recoveries of COVID-19 were reported in Washoe County.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 461
- Deaths: 12
- Recoveries: 61
- Active cases: 388
- Currently hospitalized: 30
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 28
Testing: The Health Branch of the COVID-19 Incident Management Team collected samples from 280 residents at our drive-thru site on Saturday, April 11. The samples were sent to the Nevada State Public Health Lab for testing.
