Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 19 additional COVID-19 recoveries and 28 additional positive cases in Washoe County.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 977 (+28 from 5/2)
  • Deaths: 33 (+0)
  • Recoveries: 382 (+19)
  • Active cases: 562 (+9)
  • Currently hospitalized: 51 (+3)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 71 (+2)

Hospital bed and ventilator information

In Washoe County as of May 2, 2020:

  • 60 percent of short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+3% since April 30)
  • 51 percent of the Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+2%)
  • 17 percent of ventilators are in use (-4%)

Total number of COVID-19 tests in Washoe County: 9,885 (-25 from April 29)

As of April 30, 2020, a total of 9,885 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Washoe County. The tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County. Note: The number will sometimes decrease based on the removal of cases who were tested in Washoe County but live outside Washoe County.
