Two COVID-19-related deaths, 62 recoveries reported

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting two additional COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County: A male in his 90s with underlying health conditions and a female in her 80s with underlying health conditions.
Additionally, there were 62 recoveries from COVID-19 in Washoe County and 27 new cases. The largest number of cases by age bracket continues to be the 20-29 range. Among the 844 cases who fall into that group, 260 are active cases. More data can be found on the COVID-19 Washoe Dashboard.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 3,716 (+27 from 7/13)
- Deaths: 98 (+2)
- Recovered: 2,512 (+62)
- Active cases: 1,106 (-37)
- Currently hospitalized: 82 (-4)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 289 (+3)
Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of July 14: 64,619 (+893 since 7/13)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of July 14:
- 80 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (+2% since 7/13)
- 56 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+9%)
- 16 percent of all ventilators are in use (-3%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
