New data deployed to the COVID-19 Washoe Dashboard

The Regional Information Team deployed a new chart on the COVID-19 Washoe Dashboard. The new data is a 14-day rolling average of total new COVID-19 cases, per 100,000 residents. This data was added as a result of the State of Nevada Health Response Team’s deployment of the County COVID-19 Elevated Disease Transmission Tracker.

A county is flagged for elevated disease transmission if, among other things, the total number of cases reported over a 14-day period per 100,000 in population is higher than 100. Washoe County is at 258. For more information, go to the State of Nevada’s Guidance on Directive 027: Elevated Disease Transmission Criteria.

One of the policy changes that resulted from the White House Coronavirus Task Force recommendation is to limit large gatherings to 25 people or fewer. Read more here.
