Nov. 16, 2020. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting an additional COVID-19-related death in Washoe County: A male in his 60s with underlying health conditions. There have been 220 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County.
Additionally, we’re reporting 276 new COVID-19 cases and 117 recoveries in Washoe County.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 18,902 (+276 from 11/15)
- Deaths: 220 (+1)
- Recovered: 13,099 (+117)
- Active cases: 5,583 (+158)
COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of November 16: 209,204 (+1,455 since 11/15)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of November 16 (Numbers not updated on weekends):
- 78 percent staffed hospital beds are occupied (-7% since 11/13)
- 66 percent of all licensed hospital beds are occupied (-7%)
- 52 percent of all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (-4%)
- 28 percent of all ventilators are in use (-5%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
