102 new COVID-19 cases, 373 recoveries reported
Feb. 23, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 102 additional COVID-19 cases in Washoe County with 373 recoveries. The 102 cases reported is the most since Feb. 5 (149 cases).
The Health District administered 1,024 vaccines on Monday with seniors 70 years and older making up a portion of those receiving the vaccine.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 42,726 (+102 from 2/22)
- Deaths: 640 (+0)
- Recovered: 36,955 (+373)
- Active cases: 5,131 (-271)
- Hospitalized with COVID-19*: 48 (+0)
- Vaccines administered in Washoe County total**: 102,873 (+0 from 2/22)
- Vaccines administered by Washoe County Health District***: 43,197 (+1,024 from 2/22)
*Data from Nevada Hospital Association (not updated on weekends) includes residents from outside of Washoe County.

Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of February 23 (Numbers not updated on weekends):
- 65 percent staffed hospital beds are occupied (+0% since 2/22)
- 62 percent of all licensed hospital beds are occupied (0%)
- 44 percent of all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (-1%)
- 14 percent of all ventilators are in use (-1%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
