 April 2, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 35 additional COVID-19 cases and 53 recoveries in Washoe County.

 Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 44,183 (+35)

  • Deaths: 660 (+0)
  • Recovered: 41,631 (+53)
  • Active cases: 1,892 (-18)
  • Hospitalized with COVID-19: 32 (+2)
  • Positivity rate: 5.5% (+0.1%)
  • Vaccines administered in Washoe County: 211,261 (+8,242 from 4/1; 34.74% of Washoe County population 16+ have had vaccination initiated)
  • Washoe County residents fully vaccinated: 84,356 (+4,193 from 4/1; 22.03% of Washoe County population 16+)
  • Vaccines administered by Washoe County Health District: 95,163 (+2,066 from 4/1; 37,403 fully vaccinated)

 Hospital bed and ventilator information

According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of April 2:

  • 64 percent of all licensed hospital beds are occupied (-1% since 4/1)
  • 67 percent staffed hospital beds are occupied (-1%)
  • 44 percent of all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (-1%)
  • 21 percent of all ventilators are in use (-1%)

NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
