Pop-up COVID-19 vaccine events to be held at four locations this week
Vaccine sites at Food Bank at Stead Airport, Great Basin Brewery, Food Truck Friday and Juneteenth event
June 15, 2021 Reno/Sparks, NV – The Washoe County Health District has expanded COVID-19 vaccine availability to residents in Washoe County with four events coming up this week.
The event sites include the Food Bank at Stead Airport, Great Basin Brewery in Sparks, Food Truck Friday and the Juneteenth celebration. Vaccinators will be administering the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine at the events. The Pfizer vaccine will also be administered at the Juneteenth and Food Truck Friday events.
“The community has been very supportive in our efforts to make it easy to get the COVID-19 vaccine.” said Kevin Dick, District Health Officer in Washoe County. “We hope that we can continue the expansion of our Point of Dispensing (POD) sites in order to accommodate different schedules. Thank you to all of those who allowed us to set up sites in the community to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine.”
The following sites will be set up and ready for distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine only on the dates identified below. The hours listed are only the vaccine administration hours; event times may differ.
