Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 29 new cases of COVID-19 in Washoe County and 20 recoveries.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 1,772 (+29 from 6/7)
- Deaths: 65 (+0)
- Recoveries: 1,138 (+20)
- Active cases: 569 (+9)
- Currently hospitalized: 65 (-2)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 136 (+0)
Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of June 8: 35,329 (+899 since 6/7)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of June 7, 2020:
- 70 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (-2 since June 6)
- 39 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (-1%)
- 17 percent of all ventilators are in use (+0%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
COVID-19 testing for Incline Village/Crystal Bay residents
Free drive-through COVID-19 testing is available for residents of Incline Village and Crystal Bay on Friday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Incline Village Community Hospital.
No appointment is needed and the testing is for anyone, regardless of whether you have symptoms. The hospital is located at 880 Alder Avenue, Incline Village, NV. Please bring a valid ID.
The testing event is being organized by the Washoe County Health District, Incline Village Community Hospital and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District. Others wishing to get tested in the Washoe County can fill out a risk assessment form online here or call 775-328-2427 to get tested at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center.
