209 recoveries, 55 new COVID-19 cases reported

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 209 recoveries and 55 new COVID-19 cases in Washoe County. The number of recoveries eclipsed 6,000 and the increase reported today is related to a routine audit of the data.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 7,259 (+55 from 8/30)
- Deaths: 139 (+0)
- Recovered: 6,095 (+209)
- Active cases: 1,025 (-154)
- Currently hospitalized: 87 (+5)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 527 (+6)
COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of August 31: 110,507 (+328 since 8/30)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of August 31:
- 64 percent of all staffed short-term, acute-care hospital beds are occupied (-1% since 8/28)
- 45 percent of the all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+0%)
- 19 percent of all ventilators are in use (+3%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.

Residents can file a complaint about a business in Washoe County that is not practicing COVID-19 mitigation measures, such as mandatory use of face coverings, social distancing between staff/customers or other activities leading to a higher risk of COVID-19 transmission.
