Nov. 6, 2020. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Washoe County COVID-19 Test Site will be moving to a different location over the weekend but will still be on the grounds of the Reno-Sparks Livestock Event Center.
The current test site, also referred to as the POST, is located on the southwest corner of the Livestock Events Center. The new location, starting Nov. 9, 2020, will be on the east side of the property.
With winter conditions expected, the change in location allows for better storm water runoff, accessibility to plow snow and is the best location to maintain safety for residents and staff during the winter months.
Those receiving a test will now enter the Livestock Events Center through the North Gate entrance on Sutro Street, closest to Oddie Boulevard. Residents who sign up for a test online (En español aqui) or call 775-328-2427 will be given specific instructions.
Resident may arrive within 15 minutes of an appointment, must stay in the car with the windows rolled up and show a photo ID through your window. Staff on site will give you further instructions from there.
If you are driving yourself, please only come to the testing location if you are well enough to drive. If you do not have your own transportation, please call 775-328-2427 (you cannot take public transportation or use ride share like Uber or Lyft).
If you are unable to make your appointment, please cancel your test so your appointment may go to someone else in need of a test. Learn more here.
