COVID-19 vaccine events to be held at three WCSD schools this week
Vaccine sites at North Valleys High School, Sparks Middle School and Wooster High School
June 21, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Washoe County Health District will provide the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at three Washoe County schools this week, giving opportunity for students 12 years and older, their families and the general public to receive the vaccine.
The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is free and approved for those aged 12 years and older. Those aged 12-17 must have a legal guardian present to receive the vaccine.
No appointments are required. The vaccine sites are:
North Valleys High School
Tuesday, June 22, 2-5 p.m.

Sparks Middle School
Wednesday, June 23, 1-4 p.m.

Wooster High School
Thursday, June 24, 1-4 p.m.

“We are pleased to continue efforts in expand our community Point of Dispensing (POD) sites so we can offer the COVID-19 vaccine to students 12 years and older.” said Kevin Dick, District Health Officer in Washoe County. “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data are showing that some of the COVID-19 variants appear to disproportionately affect younger people. We hope everyone who has yet to get the vaccine will take advantage of these free opportunities.”
The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine requires two doses and vaccine sites will be set up at each school exactly three weeks after to administer second doses. The Reno-Sparks Livestock Center is also an option to receive the second dose. See appointments here.
