One COVID-19-Related Death, 333 new COVID-19 cases reported

Nov. 5, 2020. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting one COVID-19-related death in Washoe County and 333 additional COVID-19 cases.

The deceased is a male in his 40s and it’s unknown if there were underlying health conditions. There have been 204 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County.

Additionally, the 333 new COVID-19 cases reported today are the third most reported in one day. The seven-day moving average for new COVID-19 cases per day is at 211.5, a new record (previous high was 199.4, set yesterday).

As a reminder, starting tonight at 11:59 p.m. public gatherings in Washoe County can include no more than 50 people or 50 percent capacity (whichever is fewer), per an order from the Nevada COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force last week. Private gatherings must remain at 10 or fewer indoors and 25 or fewer outdoors.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 14,819 (+333 from 11/4)
  • Deaths: 204 (+1)
  • Recovered: 11,769 (+169)
  • Active cases: 2,846 (+163)
  • Currently hospitalized: 80 (+1)
  • Cases who have discharged from hospital: 923 (+26)

  • Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of November 5: 187,290 (+2,217 since 11/4)

Hospital bed and ventilator information

According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of November 5:

  • 86 percent staffed hospital beds are occupied (-2% since 11/4)
  • 71 percent of all licensed hospital beds are occupied (-2%)
  • 55 percent of all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (-5%)
  • 20 percent of all ventilators are in use (-1%)

Reno/Sparks, NV – El Centro Regional de Información reporta dos muertes relacionadas con COVID-19-y un récord de 377 casos nuevos adicionales en el Condado de Washoe. 

Los fallecidos son un hombre en sus 70s y un hombre en sus 90s, ambos con afecciones subyacentes.  Ha habido 203 muertes relacionadas con COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe.

Los 377 casos adicionales reportados hoy son lo más registrado desde que se reportó 350 el 23 de octubre.  Hubo 142 recuperaciones reportadas hoy.  Los convivios privados con personas que no viven en el hogar continúan siendo la actividad más comúnmente reportada durante las investigaciones de enfermedades.

Nota: Estas cifras han sido proporcionados por el Estado de Nevada y se pueden encontrar en Boletín Estatal.  Las pruebas de COVID-19 podrían incluir residentes que no residen en el Condado de Washoe, pero se les ha realizado una prueba en dicho Condado. En caso de que disminuyan las pruebas, la causa probable es una limpieza de datos y eliminación de duplicaciones involuntarias.

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting two COVID-19-related deaths and a record 377 additional COVID-19 cases in Washoe County.

The deceased are a male in his 70s and a male in his 90s; both had underlying health conditions. There have been 203 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County.

The 377 additional cases reported today is the most since 350 cases were reported on Oct. 23. There were 142 recoveries reported today. Private gatherings with non-household contacts continue to be the common activity reported in disease investigations.

  • Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 14,486 (+377 from 11/3)
  • Deaths: 203 (+2)

Reno/Sparks, NV – El Centro Regional de Información reporta 249 casos adicionales de COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe con 102 recuperaciones.  

El promedio móvil de siete días para nuevos casos por día está en 187.4, el segundo punto más alto registrado (el más alto fue de 197.7 el 29 de octubre). 

Con las elecciones generales tomando lugar hoy, se recuerda a los residentes que usen su tapabocas a los lugares de votación y asegurarse de mantener al menos 6 pies de distancia mientras estén en fila.    

  • Total en casos de COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe: 14,109 (+249 desde 11/2)

Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 249 additional COVID-19 cases in Washoe County with 102 recoveries.

The seven-day moving average for new cases per day is at 187.4, the second highest point on record (Highest was 197.7 on Oct. 29).

With the general election taking place today, a reminder to residents to wear a mask to the polls and ensure social distancing of at least 6 feet while in line.
