Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting an additional COVID-19-related death in Washoe County: A male in his 50s with underlying health conditions. There have been 201 COVID-19-related deaths in Washoe County.
Additionally, we’re reporting 125 recoveries from COVID-19 and 108 new COVID-19 cases.
- Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 13,860 (+108 from 11/1)
- Deaths: 201 (+1)
- Recovered: 11,356 (+125)
- Active cases: 2,303 (-18)
- Currently hospitalized: 81 (+6)
- Cases who have discharged from hospital: 889 (+7)
COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County
- Total number of COVID-19 tests performed in Washoe County as of November 2: 182,648 (+1,063 since 11/1)
Note: These figures are provided by the State of Nevada and can be found on the State Dashboard. COVID-19 tests may include non-Washoe County residents who were tested in Washoe County.
Hospital bed and ventilator information
According to the Nevada Hospital Association, in Washoe County as of Nov. 2:
- 79 percent staffed hospital beds are occupied (+1% since 10/30)
- 65 percent of all licensed hospital beds are occupied (-2%)
- 55 percent of all Intensive Care Unit beds are occupied (+3%)
- 22 percent of all ventilators are in use (+8%)
NOTE: Numbers are for all hospital patients in Washoe County and not just COVID-19 patients.
Washoe County remains flagged for elevated COVID-19 transmission
The County Tracker for the COVID-19 Mitigation and Management Task Force flagged Washoe County for elevated COVID-19 transmission.
Washoe County’s COVID-19 cases per 100,000 over 30 days went from 678 to 783; COVID-19 test positivity went from 9.3% to 10.8%. See the County Tracker here.
