Ayude a poner fin a la propagación de COVID-19 en el Condado de Washoe uniéndose al Responsivo de COVID-19

Marzo 30, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – El equipo responsivo de COVID-19 del Condado de Washoe busca voluntarios y personal temporal pagado para ayudar con los esfuerzos de vacunación contra COVID-19, específicamente aquellos que puedan inyectar.

El Punto de Dispensación (POD) de COVID-19 en el Centro de Eventos Livestock de Reno-Sparks opera seis días a la semana y hay necesidad critica de personas que puedan inyectar.  También buscamos personal que pueda ayudar a los vacunadores, con el flujo de tráfico, y efectuando otras tareas para ayudar a los residentes.

“Para poder vacunar al mayor número posible de residentes y reabrir sin restricciones, primeramente todos deberían planear vacunarse contra COVID-19,” dijo el Oficial del Distrito de Salud del Condado de Washoe.  “En segundo lugar, con el fin de ampliar y vacunar a todo residente, necesitamos más ayuda de voluntarios y personal temporal.  Esta es una oportunidad para hacer la diferencia durante lo que es un evento único en una generación.”

Volunteers, vaccinators needed for COVID-19 vaccine effort

Help end the spread of COVID-19 in Washoe County by joining COVID-19 response

March 30, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Washoe County COVID-19 response team is looking for volunteers and paid temporary staff to assist with COVID-19 vaccination efforts, specifically those who can administer vaccines.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Point of Dispensing (POD) at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center runs six days a week and there is a critical need for people who can administer vaccines. We’re also looking for staff who can help with assisting vaccinators, traffic flow and providing other duties to help residents. Some volunteers and temporary staff would be utilized to help with vaccine events in the community. 

“To be able to vaccinate as many residents as possible and open back up without any restrictions, firstly everyone should plan on getting the COVID-19 vaccine,” Washoe County District Health Officer Kevin Dick said. “Secondly, in order to scale up and get every resident a vaccine, we need more help from volunteers and temporary staff. This is an opportunity to make a difference during what is a once-in-a-generational event.”

The Washoe County Medical Reserve Corps program is looking for vaccinators. Personnel can include registered nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, veterinarians, dentists, doctors and medical assistants. We’re also looking for those who can assist vaccinators. Schedules are flexible and those who volunteer are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Email WCHDvolunteers@washoecounty.us for more information.

March 30, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 25 additional COVID-19 cases in Washoe County and 127 recoveries. No additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported.

The COVID-19 dashboard has been relaunched and is live on our COVID19Washoe.com website. We thank you for your patience as we updated data feeds. There are no visible changes to the dashboard. The data feeds now allow for adjustments retroactively if it’s determined a case resides outside Washoe County. You can view the full dashboard here.

About 31.95% of population in Washoe County 16+ has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine

March 29, 2021. Reno/Sparks, NV – The Regional Information Center is reporting 36 additional COVID-19 cases in Washoe County with 87 recoveries. No additional COVID-19-related deaths were reported.

Data on the COVID-19 dashboard is undergoing maintenance while we update data feeds. We will continue to report additional COVID-19 cases, recoveries and COVID-19-related deaths but will not have the totals of those data points while the maintenance takes place. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The State of Nevada reported an additional 9,016 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered in Washoe County since Friday. In total, 197,644 total doses have been administered in Washoe County and 79,175 people have been fully vaccinated, which is about 16.5 percent of the population. About 31.95 percent of the population in Washoe County 16 years and older has received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The COVID-19 vaccine is free and is available to those who work certain segments of the frontline/essential workforce and those 16 years and older with an underlying health condition. Learn more.
